| Let me first say that I know very little about politics, and I'm the kind of guy to use The Daily Show with Jon Stewart as a serious source of news. With that said, here is my reaction as written in another blog of mine when i first saw the news.

WOW. Somewhere out there, Hillary Clinton is about to have a heart attack. I mean, i see the news that McCain has chosen Sarah Pallin as a running mate, and even my jaw dropped. I mean, its a blatant republican attempt at pandering to those Hillary-crazed voters who are not happy with having lost the Democratic Primaries... but as blatant as it is, it is just BRILLIANT!
Oh my God, there is so much behind it too. I mean, McCain's move might have singlehandedly destroyed all the buzz democrats had by doing the one thing they were unable to do, and that is put a woman in the presidential ticket. Not only that, but this Sarah Pallin is just about Obama's age and only has a few years as a mayor of Alaska... and there is no way that the Democrats can challenge her age or experience without having it come right back to hurt Obama.
This is so awesome. The DNC was supposed to heal the party, and unify them. McCain used their bandages as a target and just stabbed them HARD.
Obama better be able to handle a 1 on 1 debate with McCain... thats all i'm saying. |
